Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Cinematography and Videography?
Cinematography is shooting and editing video that focuses on telling a story. It’s an art form that combines a professional documentary-style, cinematic, & artistic shooting with the right equipment to create an aesthetically pleasing and entertaining film to showcase your event. Videography is merely capturing video to document an event and generally consists of one person, standing in the back shooting a long-form video without edits.

Why should we hire Ashe Productions for our big day?
Most of our couples book our cinematography packages with us because they want to relive the day that they have dreamed about all of their lives and spent months planning in our beautiful cinematic, aristic & documentary films. They enjoy watching a film thats unique, entertaining, and emotional with our style of shooting and editing.

Can we customize a package?
Yes! All of our packages are base packages so you can pick and choose to add on whatever items you’d like.

Should I have more than one Cinematographer?
This is one of those times when more is actually more. The more cinematographers you have, the more dynamic, breathtaking and emotional your film will be. Multiple shooters allow us to get stunning angles and different perspectives that we can't normally get with one, like the bride’s grand entrance and the groom’s reaction to her entrance. It also gives us the ability to use cinematic tools like sliders, jibs and stabilizers. We recommend at least two cinematographers but you won't miss any great moments with one.

Do we have to meet with our cinematographer?
You won’t need to. As you’ve probably already noticed, all of our work has a very cohesive and distinct style. We manage all of our cinematographers and editors to make sure that every one of our shoots and films lives up to our company’s and brides’ standards.

What kind of equipment do you use?
We use everything that you would need to create a professional, cinematic style film. Our cameras are SLR type, which film in HD. We also use steadicam systems, and state-of-the-art audio gear with wireless mics.

How long does it take to get your video?
Creating a masterpiece film that tells a truly unique story requires thought, skill and time. We know our brides can’t wait to see their wedding films so we do our best to get them done as soon as possible. That being said, your wedding video will be completed within 2 to 4 months from your wedding date.

How far do you travel?
We serve the South New Jersey, New Jersey & Philadelphia metropolitan areas. We are willing to travel to destinations that are of driving distance from our studio with additional travel and accommodation fees.
